WELCOME TO VILLA RITA – Here are a few notes we hope you will find useful.

ON ARRIVAL

· Get online! WIFI ACCESS – Provider: Cosmos. Router password: redzebra1

· KEYS – If you don’t have a house key there is a spare stored in safe box under BBQ sink/cupboard. Code will be shared separately.

· Inside door of tall cupboard next to washing machine you'll find key to unlock the large plastic shed containing chairs, sun beds, parasol, mop and rotary clothes drier.

· Turn on water pump - switch is on upstairs landing next to immersion heater which must be left off during summer months.

Kitchen/dining room appliances:

Includes Kettle, Toaster, Microwave Oven, Hob & Oven, Frappe Maker, Coffee machine, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron & Board, Water cooler.

· Hob is electric. See separate instructions for use in this folder. REMEMBER, HOB REMAINS HOT FOR A WHILE WHEN SWITCHED OFF.

· Should you wish to use the washing machine and/or dishwasher, see separate instructions in this folder.

· Water cooler uses 20 litre bottles that can be filled for approx. 1 Euro at one of the many dispensing machines in the area – carefully remove cap and probe from empty bottle and place into full bottle. Push gently down till it clicks. Turn on from wall socket. Please DO NOT turn on hot water function. If you don't intend to use water cooler, please leave/turn off.

· Should you wish to use the iron, please empty all water after use.

Living Room

· For TV, HIFI and multi-media player, switch mains on from sockets behind TV if not already on.

· TV accepts USB sticks and has Chromecast installed for viewing your own personal media.

· Batteries for remote controls may be stored nearby to avoid leaking. Either below TV or in bottom kitchen drawer.

· The magazine rack by the sofas contains games, cards, maps and tourist info for your convenience – please return before departure.

· Patio furniture is stored inside the villa or shed – please return inside villa/shed at the end of your stay unless otherwise agreed.

Air conditioning units

· Air-conditioning remote controls can be found in living room and both bedrooms. Batteries may be stored nearby to avoid leaking.

· Should you wish to use the air conditioning, please see separate instructions provided in this folder.

· The bedroom air conditioning units should be set at 27-28 degrees and on sleep mode overnight.

· Please DO NOT leave air conditioning on all the time or with house unattended.

Garden, patio & pool

· Parasol bases are stored in the small cupboards beneath the garden BBQ/sink if not out already.

· Patio awning can be operated by winch stored inside near water cooler. Please retract in windy weather, when not in use and when leaving.

· Don't leave any cushions on furniture out overnight as the local cats will make a mess of them!

· Don’t leave parasol up in windy weather as it may blow over.

Cleaning, Waste & Recycling

In the kitchen cupboards below the sink and to the right you’ll find a bin and cleaning products along with bin liners there - both en suite bathrooms are also stocked with liners and cleaning products. Please dispose of all non-recyclable waste in the large ‘wheelie’ bin found by turning right out of the house and right again onto the main road – on the corner of the complex.

Recycling is optional – you can gather glass, tins, paper, plastics and cartons and drop off at several recycling spots around the area. Corner cupboard in kitchen near oven has 2 recycling boxes (plastics, tins etc. for the large one, paper for small one).

TROUBLESHOOTING

In case of POWER CUT or WATER SUPPLY issues please check ‘Power & Water supply’ document in this folder in the first instance.

ON DEPARTURE

• Empty fridge, freezer and kettle. Ensure fridge and washing machine doors are open to avoid mould growth.

• Turn off all electric appliances from wall sockets including all behind TV.

• Don’t forget to turn off water cooler and internet router.

• Turn off water pump - switch is on UPSTAIRS LANDING.

• Please insert plugs into all sinks throughout house to avoid pest infestation.

• Close all windows and shutters.

• Remove batteries from all remote controls and leave nearby.

Depending on time of stay it might be possible to leave all garden furniture in place - we will advise on this. Otherwise:

• Bring patio furniture inside house and stack next to sofa.

• Stack sunbeds and store vertically in the back of plastic shed. Stacked garden chairs can also go in there.

• Rotary clothes drier also in plastic shed.

• Padlock shed, return key to key rack in kitchen.

• Please wheel the concrete parasol/airer base to the BBQ cupboards and stash under there – either side, wherever there’s space.

• ALWAYS completely wind in the patio awning. Winder is next to water cooler.

FINALLY!

· Double lock front door, RETURN HOUSE KEY TO SAFE BOX AND JUMBLE NUMBERS!
